Reading Resolution

CoalvilleLibrary.jpgDid you make any New Year’s resolutions? Perhaps you want to get a new job, learn a new skill or take a hobby more seriously? Whatever you hope to achieve in 2016, Coalville Library is there to help.

Libraries are not just about books. They are the place to go for information about anything and everything. If you are not sure how to use that new iPad you had for Christmas, you can get free training to get you started. Anyone with a Library card can get free WiFi access and a comfortable place to sit and search. There’s even a coffee machine!

Did you know that Coalville Library has a Friday job club? You can get help to tidy up your CV and support to search and apply for jobs on-line. People who are unemployed and looking for work can get 14 hours on the computers for free.

Coalville Library is also the place to go to learn about your mind and body. There are easy to read guides on mental health and dementia. Safer than a Google Search, health information supplied through Books on Prescription has been checked to make sure NHS doctors agree with it.

If that sounds all too serious, why not join the Knitting Norah’s? Come and share your crafts and hone your creative talents. If that’s not your thing, how about battling with the War Gamers for some fantasy and fun?

If all that isn't tempting enough, Coalville Library is offering you a New Year’s Reading Resolution every month until April. Borrow 6 books or audio-books and your name will go into a monthly draw for a bunch of High St shopping vouchers to spend.

Who knows what you might discover?
